Fixing

Most boards fix to the bed. Tell us your wall and we'll say what we'd recommend.

Tap the wall behind your bed: if it sounds hollow it is plasterboard, which takes a different fixing from brick.

Optional. What the wall is made of, a sloped ceiling, a sill, a socket behind the bed, a colour you are matching.

What moves the price

Size
The single biggest one.A wall-width board is not a queen board with more cloth — the frame has to be built differently to stay flat.
Material
Cloth is priced by the metre, and a figured or specialty cloth can cost several times a plain one.
The face
Buttons, flutes and stitched patterns are hand work, not a finish applied at the end.
Fixing
